With dramatic, unspoilt landscapes of wooded valleys and moorland hills, Church Stretton was the first town in the Midlands to be awarded ‘Walkers are Welcome’ status. With its tree-lined streets and historic buildings, it’s well worth a visit. Great biking trails too!

On the outskirts of Ludlow, Mortimer Forest straddles the Shropshire and Herefordshire border and is a perfect place for some breathing space. Ideal for long walks with the dog. Three car parks around the edge of the forest offer different experiences each time you visit.

Walks from Brook Farm
There are some lovely walks in the surrounding area. An amble around Brook Farm is a nice way to pass half an hour in the afternoon or before dinner.
The Malvern Hills are part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with scenic views over both Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The Hills run north–south for about 8 miles between Great Malvern and the village of Colwall, and overlook the River Severn valley to the east, with the Cotswolds beyond. Fantastic walks and outdoor activities.
