We want your stay at Hop Pickers’ House to be special and memorable.

We know how tricky it can be to organise a surprise or a romantic occasion without involving your partner….or when you’re not familiar with the cottage or surroundings. We can help …. So, why not spoil yourselves – if you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary or ‘mini-moon’, surprise your partner with…..

Local cheese board

If you don’t want to cook on your first night here (or on any evening during your stay), let us sort it out for you. A local cheese board - with crackers, chutneys, olives, nibbles, chocolates….and a choice of drinks - could await you when you on arrival (£40 for two).

Flowers, fizz and chocolcates

Surprise your loved one with flowers, chocolates and a bottle of champagne or prosecco – to greet you on arrival – or at any other point during your stay. If you have favourite flowers or chocolates, just let us know (£45 with champagne / £35 with prosecco)

A romantic twilight trail of lights and firebowl

Follow a romantic trail of lights to a beautiful spot near the brook – to discover a crackling fire-bowl…..with comfy chairs and snuggly throws….and your favourite tipple and snacks waiting for you. Watch the sun set….listen to the babbling brook, sounds of the birds…..and enjoy!

Making loveliness from the garden

We’ve teamed up with Penny Thompson from nearby Lyme Cottage to offer her ‘Making Loveliness from the Garden’ workshops. Make natural products from the herbs and plants we grow in our garden (3 hours from £50 – subject to Penny’s availability – ask us for more details)

Or if you’ve got something else in mind, let us know – and we can work together to make it happen. These treats can be organised in advance of your arrival or when you’re here. We can give you an idea of prices – they’ll vary depending on your specific requirements.
